I have a few new flowers in bloom this year for the first time. I'd like to share these with you. But, I need help to identify a couple of new ones I found.

Purple Columbine (face on)
Pretty Blue Bells

  1. Kathy, they're all so beautiful! I have a soft spot for Lily of the Valley, have never before seen a purple Columbine...gorgeous! Is the flower beneath it Blue Bells? and the bottom flower... I have no idea, but it's very is pretty.

  2. Thanks, Monica. I was thinking blue bells, too but didn't know if that was an official name or just what they looked like.

  4. Love the purple columbine!! I, too, think the flower you asked about is called Blue Bells.... do not know the official name. Mum told me the name as there were Blue Bells next to our home in Nauwigewauk.

    1. Thanks Pat,
I like the purple Columbine. The pink ones still have yet to bloom. I 'found' the Blue Bells among other shrubs and flowers in our gardens. They'll be getting a new home with more prominence in the fall.
