Wordless Wednesday, June 12, 1013 - Garden Bouquet {w LINKY}
The lilacs were at their best and would go to seed, soon, so I added some pink, yellow & purple lupins from our gardens along with a few yellow and mauve irises. The bouquet sits on a table cloth that had belonged to our Mother who died in 2005.
It was fun to pick the flowers at their best. Many of them don't last too long. Mom used to put that table cloth under plastic on her table. It's been lovingly used a lot here and is very thin and getting threadbare.
What a beautiful picture. Can't believe that your plants are that far along. I still have greenery!! The tablecloth colors and the colors in the flowers are so well matched. Mum would indeed be most pleased.It actually looks like something that she would do!
Thanks Pat, I like to cut a few of the flowers while they are still at their best. They don't last long, but then I look forward to what's blooming next.
Awhhh, makes me all teary to look at this; the flowers are so beautiful and mom would be very happy to see them sitting on the tablecloth!

DeleteThe table cloth has been around many years and seen many washing's. Getting to the end of it's use now, but brought up great memories.
