Wow! You sure have been busy, but have your priorities straight. Housework can wait and doesn't even complain. Love the pic of the jelly making...looks like a magazine picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment, Pat. It's kind of hectic, while it's all going on. I didn't realize there were so many apples on the old tree and just couldn't bear to waste them.
DeleteDontcha just hate to have to take a tree down? Especially a flowering one. Are crabapples any good for baking, or just for making jelly? I used to eat them as a kid, but all I can remember about them is they were reeeeeeally sour.
ReplyDeleteYes, Susan, I did hate to have to take it down, but all of the underneath branches were dying and there were only apples on the top. We were concerned about it coming down on power lines, too.
ReplyDeleteThankfully we've planted two others in our yard that had lots of tiny, very sour apples on them, even last year. I've never made anything except jelly with them.
Wow...that just shows how one task always seems to lead to another, and another...and another. You had a very busy day!! {Love your new look!}
ReplyDeleteThanks, Monica, I just changed it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that when you have projects already on the go, that's when the domino effect takes place.
I guess that's life.
